Students order the first three elements of a set. They can distribute objects to each person in a group until there are no objects left. Students use concrete materials to solve problems that involve comparing, combining and separating sets, for example “How might I make this group more than the other group?” Students make ‘groups’, ‘lots’ and groups of ‘one’ and can indicate which collection has ‘more’ than the other. They match individual objects with counting sequences up to and back from five. Students connect number names and numerals with sets of up to five elements. Students respond to a simple pictorial representation of their activities related to a short time-frame. They develop an awareness of chance by playing with materials or objects that involve cause and effect (actions that will happen) and playing games where the outcome is unpredictable, for example, peekaboo. Statistics and Probability They participate in class activities that explore object, events and displaying information. Students respond to specific instructions relating to manipulating the movement and location of self and objects. They can match identical familiar three-dimensional shapes that are ‘the same’. They demonstrate an awareness of object permanence by searching for objects that have been hidden and participate in class activities that explore three-dimensional objects. They explore routine events and show an awareness of time and daily routines by responding to a routine signal from the teacher, such as, ‘It’s time to go outside and play’, ‘pack up’, or ‘unpack bag’ Students demonstrate beginning understanding of basic measurement concepts such as ‘long or short’, ‘heavy or light’, Students participate in everyday activities that explore measurement and use measurement attributes in practical situations. They manipulate objects and build a tall tower by using ‘more’ blocks and take blocks away from a tower to make the tower ‘less’ tall. Students identify ‘one’ and ‘lots’ of objects and show an understanding of ‘more’ in familiar situations. Students participate in everyday activities that involve numbers and counting, comparing groups of objects, and pattern activities. They respond to major changes to regular games and activities associated with chance, surprise and predictability, such as hitting a switch to activate a toy. Students begin to display a similar and predictable reaction to regular events. Students observe objects and events within their daily life. Students explore space by moving and changing position and location, and respond to changes in position. Students explore and respond to objects of varying textures, colours, sizes and shapes. Students respond to a signal from a timer, used to indicate the end of an activity. They show an awareness of time and daily routine by responding to a signal from the teacher, and items being brought out or removed. Students explore objects of varying weights, lengths, capacities and materials. They react and respond to objects and experience measurement attributes in practical situations. Students observe and explore objects within daily life. Students participate in making piles, groups or bundles of familiar everyday objects and respond to objects being put together and taken apart. They experience and respond to ‘one for you, one for me’, ‘gone’, ‘no more left’ and ‘give me more’. Students demonstrate awareness of counting by responding to number rhymes, songs, stories and finger games. They begin to respond to numbers in everyday experiences. Students observe the use of number within their daily life. Reasoning includes students coactively exploring and manipulating objects in their immediate environment and experiencing the language associated with maths activities. Problem Solving includes students attending to and exploring the world around them with as much independence as possible Understanding develops from becoming aware of their physical state and encountering, reacting and responding to the world around them and to some everyday events and routinesįluency includes students learning to control their behaviour and internal state and developing a repertoire of reactions to everyday experiences and events They provide the language to build in the developmental aspects of the learning of mathematics. The proficiencies reinforce the significance of working mathematically within the content and describe how the content is explored or developed. The proficiency strands Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving and Reasoning are an integral part of the mathematics content across the three content strands: Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, Statistics and Probability.

Luminar began shipping Iris+ B-samples to its lead series production OEM. Product and Technology: The company remains on track to meet or beat its 2023 goals for Iris+, software, and next-gen products: Yesterday, TPK entered into a definitive agreement to proceed with an investment in Luminar. In April, the company announced a partnership with TPK to build and operate an additional, even higher-volume automated factory driven by rapidly growing demand for Luminar in Asia. The indoor, controlled facility was built for the highest automotive test and validation requirements of automotive OEMs for series production and engineered for Luminar’s leading lidar resolution-at-range capability. In Q1, Luminar also brought online a new long-range testing facility, which is the largest and most advanced of its kind. The new factory, built in conjunction with and operated by Luminar’s contract manufacturing partner Celestica, is expected to complete a rigorous validation process and continue to be optimized leading up to Luminar’s first high-volume global production vehicle start of production (SOP). Revenue Exceeds High End of Guidance High-Volume Factory Ahead of Guidance You may already have a Cultivator, but if you don’t, all you need is Core Wood and Bronze. I prefer to do the Swamp stuff then the Mountain stuff, but either works. The order you do them in is not important so do whatever works for you. Before Getting Flaxīefore you get Flax, there are a few things you need to do before utilizing it. I usually only turn about 20% of what I get from the garden into items and replant the rest. Note: Only make Linen Thread when you have a stockpile of Flax so you don’t have to go back to the Plains to get more. The Flax automatically spits out whenever it’s done. Each piece takes 30 seconds to make, and the wheel can hold up to 40 Flax. Then, you feed the Flax into the Spinning Wheel to make Linen Thread. Then, you can build a Spinning Wheel with a few simple items. To unlock the Spinning Wheel, you must defeat Moder so that you can build an Artisan Table with the Dragon Tears you get. The Stagbreaker is a good option, but I find the Atgeir to be a better bet with the swing attack. Then, I found out you could use tools to do so. I always do this before planting anything. You also should make a moat or fence around your field because Lox and Fulings both love to stomp around the field, destroying your hard work. To plant it, you need a Cultivator and you need to plant the Flax in the Plains biome unless you have a mod that says otherwise. Planting FlaxĪfter you gather your first Flax, you can plant it to make twice as much as you have. I recommend scouting along the outside out of range of the Fulings. Not all villages have Flax or Barley fields, but you can see before you enter if one does. Finding Flaxįlax is only found in the wild in Fuling Villages. I love the feeling of getting items before I need them because it makes it so much easier once I reach that phase of the game. It never hurts for items to stack up at the base. So I recommend taking it easy on gathering Flax until then, as you may find it more valuable to spend time doing something else. You can’t even use it properly until you defeat Moder and unlock the Artisan Table. You won’t find any Flax until you reach the Plains. Whether you have Flax stacked up or haven’t picked one stalk, you’re ready for this guide. But it could work like the Raspberries and Blueberries (go Queen’s Jam.)įlax has one purpose in Valheim, and it’s time to dive into why that matters. I understand that, as it would be confusing otherwise. This is because Barley is the edible grain in Valheim. Yes, you can also eat real flax (it’s packed with fiber), but you can’t eat flax in the game. Why not some gorgeous lace curtains or stamina foods like Flaxseed Pancakes? Some more clothing with Linen Thread, and some items just with Flax. I would love to see more items made with Flax. However, in Valheim, that’s the only thing it’s used for, whereas, in real life, you can make oil, fabric, and more. What is Flax in Valheim?įlax in Valheim is a lot like flax in real life. That’s why I thought it would be helpful to walk you through what to do with this stuff and when you can use it. The time I spent between finding Flax and using it was extended. You can skip either, but it’s best if you follow along with the natural flow of the game. Flax is necessary for some of the best weapons and gear in the game. Both are useful in their own ways.īarley is necessary for some of the best food in the game. Flax is one of the two plants (excluding trees) in the Plains, the other being Barley. You can place two activities behind each activity button (short press/long press) but I feel you should not have to think about how you actually need to press this button in order to watch TV for example. While it’s just enough for my small scale setup I can easily imagine that it’s not enough for some people. The whole thing is based on the activities that can be selected with the 3 buttons at the top of the remote for activities such as “Watch TV”, “Listen to a CD” or “Play PS3”. My only complaint would be the low amount of activity buttons. I’ve put some of the more advanced functions behind long press so the rest of the family does not need to be bothered about them. You can program two commands for each button – one for a short press and another one for a long press. The remote is actually quite thin and light but still feels solid and nice to hold. All the essential functions are there but nothing absolutely crucial is missing. It’s a relatively simple remote that in my opinion has just the right level of complexity. There are various different remote controllers and the Smart Control remote that I got is the entry-level model. Logitech has put up a nice video on YouTube that explains you the idea in less than 2 minutes.Īs I just explained the remote controller talks with the hub using radio frequencies. Heck, you could even be in another room and the remote still works! Your Harmony Hub could be inside the media cabinet behind closed doors and the remote still works. Maybe the coolest thing is that you don’t need to point the remote at the device because it uses RF to signal the hub. I cannot detect any lag compared to the plain simple IR remote I was using before. This might sound ineffective, but in reality it works really well. So the remote in the Logitech Smart Home Control package actually just controls the hub and it’s the hub that relays the commands onwards to various devices. That’s not all, the hub pairs with a remote controller or two over the radio frequencies. IFTTT or Amazon Echo can be used to command the hub (“if it’s 7am on a weekday and my smartphone is at home then switch on TV and set channel to CNN” or just “Alexa, turn on my TV”). The wifi is used for the smartphone app, setup, upgrades and possible home automation integration. It’s also connected to your wifi network. In case you have devices that have Bluetooth remotes (such as PS3) the hub can handle BT as well. In case you have devices in multiple closed cabinets you can plug in two additional wired IR blasters (one extra IR blaster is supplied in the Harmony Smart Control package) to extend the signal. The hub contains an infrared blaster that can be used to control your TV, DVD players, NUC or other devices. Logitech’s current Harmony line-up of devices is more or less based on the Harmony Hub – a device size of an ice-hockey puck that ties all your devices together. After using the device for a month I just can’t imagine going back – the thing fulfills my needs near perfectly although it has its quirks. Black Friday eventually sorted it out and I bought a Logitech Harmony Smart Control for a reasonable price. I knew Logitech had some fancy products for almost $300 but I always felt that was insane money to spend on a remote controller so I kept on looking. When the remote stubbornly refused to learn the codes for my new AV receiver I finally decided it was time to replace it with something more modern. I was annoyed at the thing and the rest of the family openly frustrated. Remembering to choose the correct device at the top of the remote every time when you wanted to do something with a different device was a pain. I wasn’t able to program discrete power on and off commands for most of the devices so the command sequences would turn devices on and off seemingly at random. However, even if that remote could learn commands from other remotes and there was an option of creating command sequences, the remote was always cumbersome to use.
It turns out, I’m really happy I got this detector – I found accident spots that I didn’t know about and didn’t find any where I thought they would be. Downstairs where my dogs are during the day, I was pleased to see no glowing spots at all. Also, one spot that I knew about and thought was clean, I found faintly glowing, so I now I know I have to clean that area again. I was really surprised since my dogs are usually not in there when I’m not there, so I’m not sure when the accidents happened. In the bedroom though, I found two spots which I never would have known about. To my relief, I didn’t find anything on my decorative rug in the living room, but it was interesting to see what little specks glowed (mostly white lint). The flashlight itself is a very nice metal and very sturdy feeling, without being too heavy. When it arrived, I put three AAA batteries in right away and went on my hunt. “I was hesitant to order this detector light knowing what it might reveal, but I knew I had to take care of whatever I found. Try the PeeDar today and SEE the difference! Do not fall victim to this marketing tactic of many LED’s if they are not the right wavelength it doesn’t matter how many it has. Some completing UV Flashlights have as many as 51(!) LED’s all in the 395-400nm wavelength. As a result the PeeDar contains less LED’s but despite this, it is still much more effective. The PeeDar circumvents these issues while keeping the price down.ģ65nm UV LED’s are a lot more costly to manufacturer compared with the standard 395nm LED’s used in competing products. The other cheap flashlights on the market use higher wavelengths of around 395-400nm which simply won’t cause many stains to actually fluoresce, plus another issue is this wavelength of light outputs significant light in the visible spectrum which will washout any fluorescing stains making them harder to see. What makes the PeeDar different is that is uses a much more appropriate UV wavelength range (365-370nm). And with not being prepared to spend the huge sum on a professional UV flashlight, searching for a pet stains became a frustrating experience.īut we figured there had to be something that would work for the home market provide decent results without the big price tag. After extensive R&D and product testing, we finally developed what is now called the PeeDar! We started off using some of the cheap LED 395nm UV flashlights available on the market and found they just didn’t work effectively enough. So we’ve had a lot experience with urine stains around the house. We’ve taken care of many animals over our lifetime, including a blind cat. Fed up with cheap UV Flashlights that don’t work?
